It's a little spendy but totally worth it.
We also took our 3yr old here to her first movie . It was nice because the rows are bigger and it gave her a small area to stand next to her seat when she got wiggly. We enjoyed the movie. They were cracked and ripped open. Which left for a very scratchy feeling. It was our first time here, we were not aware that the servers came to you in the 2. So we ordered our food at the bar, we asked the lady working if it came to us. She was not polite in her response that no they did not do that. So when we returned to our scratchy seats, and the waitress for the theater showed up, we were confused. We had just been told that no waitresses came to take our order or deliver our food! I do like that there are free refills with the drinks, the service from the second and third lady was great. The seats weren't very comfortable, the floors were sticky to all heck. There were holes all along the wall in front of our seats. For how much they are charging per seat, you'd think they would patch up the holes and keep the leather seats in good shape! I can't believe they can justify the price for this place when: 1) GXL theater are the most uncomfortable seats. Now in the Bay Area these done in movie theaters are scarce so I had to try it out here. Tickets are quite expensive at $1. Tip: if you have a Costco membership you can get majorly discounted tickets and have to pay an extra small amount which totals to a few bucks less than what you pay there. Theater rooms: I have been in all three and my favorite by far is the living room. I love how the chairs recline and you also get a nice footrest. It's incredibly comfortable and a great date spot. The GXL is standard theater seating with slightly more comfortable seats than the average theater, but I can sit in these chairs in any old theater. The parlor is nice because it feels like you are getting a personal viewing of a movie as it only sits like 1. It's super cozy, but the second seats from the front along with the very front row seats makes it so you have to strain your neck up as you have to look up (not as comfortable as the back ones). I really haven't liked anything I have ever ordered from here from the lemon chicken skewers, to the fish and chips, to the sliders. Sadly I would have wished the food was better, but each time it was either too salty or too bland. Hopefully, one day they can get a better more flavorful menu. I think when it first opened, this Cinetopia was the best theater in the area. Clean and comfortable, fantastically friendly staff, and an overall great experience. Unfortunately, recent visits have indicated that things have gone downhill though. Food and drink prices seemed to have jumped. The last two times, the server who was taking orders was surly and had an air of . The Living Room Theater floor wasn't clean and the seats need some refurbishing/heavy duty cleaning. Hopefully they introduce some better staff who care about the place. This is my favorite theater! My favorite is the theaters with less seats, 2. Love this place ever since it opened! Usually when we go, we get our seats in the . The chairs are comfortable, and a server comes to check on you and get your order for food, drinks, candy, etc. The wait staff is always friendly, courteous, and attentive. Our last time there to watch the Conjuring 2, we ordered the Blue Cheese Chips, Beef Skewers, and the Cod Fish and chips. Everything was excellent, and the Blue Cheese dipping sauce that comes with the skewers is definitely . It will leave you salivating and wanting more. The assigned seating is nice, and the chairs are comfortable and there's even a mini- ottoman to kick your feet up on and relax. I would think if I hit the jackpot, my private movie theater would look just like this.. Why see a movie in coach when you can see it in first class? I really do love the Living Room and Movie Parlor theaters at Cinetopia. ONLY. This is the greatest idea in our time. I truly appreciate the option to have a child free movie experience. Yes it is more expensive - but the seats are uber comfy, all have ottomans, the sound and picture quality is top notch. Come have a beer or some wine - get some truffle fries, share the tower of chocolate and enjoy the show - grown up style. Love this theater , it is a 2. Prices are a little higher then Century and Regal but the seats are much better, lots of space forward and to the side. Living room theater is my favorite with ottomans. If you want to Order food you can in the theater and you can also get beer, cider and wine. If you haven't been here give it a shot, it is worth it. Best to buy your tickets on their website and chose your seat. I come here on a somewhat regular basis and enjoy the comfortable, spacious seating. However, I was disappointed that the seat I had today was worn out, the rips in the vinyl scratched my legs. The theatre is starting to show its age. Even know the tickets are more we love going to the over 2. We do not have to listen to crying babies or little kids, and there is not a bunch of crazy teenagers either. They offer service right there in the theater for food and drinks before the movie starter. As any theater the food is more expensive and not as great but its not bad either. So kick back, relax and enjoy the over 2. I want to Update my review of Cinetopia. I contacted the theater to complain about my treatment that was expanded in the initial review. I was contacted very quickly by the management and received an apology and compensation. I was very impressed by this and am pleased by the professional response of the theater management. Thank you Cinetopia! I love the location, Progress Ridge. Love the seats and the screens. The best is when you buy a seat instead of just a ticket into the theater. Ticket prices are quite high - always check Groupon prior to buying tickets. Purchasing tickets online is annoying with show times page looking like a website from the 9. Also, there is a fee when purchasing tickets online, not preferred. If you like less busy theaters then check out a movie on Tuesdays, discounted ticket pricing and fewer people. Got my tickets at Costco, which cost me $1. Picked out the movie we wanted to see and tried to save the seats.. If you use tickets from Groupon and Costco you have to physically go to Cinetopia to reserve your seats. But, when you take into account gas, pitcher of beer ($2. I'll have to admit I did enjoy the reclining chair! I'm beyond thrilled with the new system - PICK YOUR SEATS! Oh I can't even begin to describe how happy I am they finally did it. I used to have to come two hours early to get a shot at a good seat but now you can just show up on time. I am so so in love with this place, we're making it almost a monthly thing for Tightwad Tuesdays. I finally got into every different theater and the movie parlor is by far the best thing I've experienced. So small and comfortable, 2. I don't feel like anyone else is in there. I wait a few weeks until the movies I want are in the living room or the parlor. Staff have been mediocre to good, and I've never had a technical issue. The problems I had once were literally just that- once. I rarely have problems with anything now. I can't go to any other theater. I used to LOVE this place- I live right across the street and went at least once a week. The theaters and bathrooms are usually a mess- I mentioned the bathrooms to one of the workers- he didn't care at all. The last two movies I've gone to- both rated PG 1. Have to say the general upkeep of the facility is really starting to suffer. The floors everywhere were extremely sticky and gross. The paint on the walls in the theatre is chipped and looks trashy. Bathrooms were a mess. Seems like management has given up on maintaining the facility. Not what you'd expect from the premium theatre experience. They should really offer free wifi, put out an app so you can order from your seat and put some time and money in to the facility. Pros: High end theater, excellent sound, digital theater, food service, tightwad Tuesday special pricing. Cons: seats are wearing out & the wait staff is often nonexistent. A little focus on the facility and customer service would be greatly appreciated. Tickets now cost $7 MORE than Regal. That, along with the overpriced theater service food, broken trays and cup holders, an additional gratuity whether your server remembers your order or not, totally makes patronizing this establishment totally questionable.
